The Alberta Region enjoyed another successful golf tournament on August 14, 2017, hosted at Blackhawk Golf Club, one of the premier golf courses in Canada. This location serves as a major draw for our industry guests as well as members & associates. We attracted one of the largest number of golfers in the history of this event with 84 members & associates and 53 guests. Everyone enjoyed a fun round of golf and great networking in beautiful sunny weather on this scenic course located on banks of the North Saskatchewan River on the outskirts of Edmonton. This has proven to be a very effective event to reinforce and develop our industry partner relationships. We featured our “Beat the Chair” charity fund raising hole in support of Little Warriors, a local children’s charity, raising $1,300. Regional Chair Jason Collins (Collins Steel) and Regional Manager Neil Kaarsemaker hosted this fun event at the par 3 hole #6. We are grateful for the generous support of our sponsors ( holes, wine gift, golf ball gift, dinner, lunch& beverage) and for the hard work of our member golf committee.
