We are pleased to announce that the 2018 G.L. Kulak Scholarship, presented by the CISC Alberta Region, is awarded to Michael Manarin, M.Sc. student at the University of Alberta!
The G.L. Kulak Scholarship is an annual award available to postgraduate students doing research in structural steel. After carfeul consideration of six applications, the Alberta region’s Education & Research committee selected Manarin as the winner of the $15,000 scholarship. His research is focused on lateral-torsional buckling of singly symmetric girders.
Congratulations to Michael Manarin! We look forward to following his progress throughout his graduate studies at the University of Alberta as part of the The Steel Centre.
