CISC Alberta members highlight key issues at meetings with MLAs at the Legislature on April 5

This was a part of a regional advocacy effort by the CISC to have our members meet with MLAs to present the issues of prime importance to our industry. Issues that were discussed in the CISC AB meetings included:

• Job creation, economic diversification and transition to a low carbon economy through local procurement policies for infrastructure projects
• Deferral of new taxes until there is a sustained economic recovery in the province
• Strengthening AB’s  global competitiveness and increased efficiencies through investment in Centres of Excellence such as the CISC Steel Centre at the University of Alberta.
