Located in Vancouver, British Columbia within the green space of Stanley Park, the Malkin Stage revitalizes the existing site of the historic amphitheatre of similar name, Malkin Bowl. In 1934, the original cone-shaped stage was constructed by the Vancouver mayor in honour of his late wife. Extensive renovations to winterize the space occurred in 2011.Through this process, the existing shape was lost to layers of insulation and stage doors while the audience was left exposed to the elements.
